The candidate’s responsibility will be to work closely with VP Operations and Head of Supply Chain. You will be responsible for spearheading our procurement strategy, ensuring the acquisition of a diverse range of agricultural inputs at competitive prices (also including general procurement items required by the Company). Your expertise will be crucial in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and aligning our procurement efforts with the broader business objectives to support growth and operational efficiency.

You will be responsible to:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive procurement strategy that encompasses all categories of agricultural inputs.
  • Conduct extensive market research to identify reliable suppliers across different agri input categories, ensuring a diverse supplier base.
  • Lead the procurement process from supplier evaluation and selection to contract negotiation, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Foster strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers to guarantee the best value in terms of price, quality, and service.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and sales, to integrate procurement plans with business objectives.
  • Manage and optimize procurement budgets, focusing on cost-saving initiatives without compromising on product quality or availability.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for all procured agri inputs, working closely with suppliers to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee logistics and supply chain management for all agri inputs, ensuring efficient and timely availability to meet customer demands.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, market dynamics, and new technologies that can influence our product offerings and procurement strategies.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development.

You will demonstrate the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related fields.
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in procurement, preferably within the agriculture or e-commerce sectors, with a focus on a wide range of agri inputs. Experience in Palm Oil Industry is a great advantage.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the capacity to foster long-term supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the agri input market in Indonesia and globally.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in the use of procurement software and advanced analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
