The Role:
- Formulating and executing strategies in engaging with government's stakeholders, and ensuring that alignment are within the company's objectives.
- Monitoring regulatory development that can impact the business's interests, and providing recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Cultivating, building and maintaining relationships with key government bodies, officials, agencies and other relevant parties.
- Advocating for policies that will support the company's objectives and goals through direct engagement, lobbying and coalition building.
- Ensuring that the company complies with all local relevant laws, regulations and reporting requirements that are still within the global standard.
- Collaborating with communication team to develop messaging and communication strategies related to government affairs and public policy.
- Working closely with all internal stakeholders (operations, finance, HR, commercial and other teams) in both local, regional and global.
- Providing guidance and support during crisis or situations where governments are critical to the company's reputation and operations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Political Sciences, Law, Public Policy or related field.
- Experience in mineral mining, preferably in Aluminium Mining industry
- Min 5+ years in government relations role from relevant industry, and maintain good relations with Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral Republik Indonesia (Kementerian ESDM) and other relevant Government authorities
- Proven ability to effectively communicate complex issues to diverse audiences.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and willingness to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin will be an advantage
