Job Summary:

The Financial Controller will manage and oversee the company's cost and budget spending control, financial reporting, and financial technology and systems management. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost and Budget Spending Control

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective budget and cost control processes.
  • Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insightful reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate with departmental heads to ensure budget adherence and optimize cost management.
  • Conduct periodic financial reviews and audits to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare, journal, and present accurate and timely consolidated financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Manage and execute the consolidation of financial statements and the preparation of management reports.
  • Manage the external audit process, ensuring all necessary documentation and responses are provided.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow projections and provide recommendations for cash management strategies.

Financial Technology and Systems Management

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and technology platforms.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of financial data and reporting systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to financial software and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate financial systems with other business applications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or similar professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a financial controller or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial technology implementation.
