Data Steward Business Partner

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Data Steward to join our team. This position is responsible for collecting and managing metadata, analyzing data flow and lineage, and completing the definitions of data elements. The ideal candidate will have a understanding of data management concepts, ETL processes, and data transformation, particularly within the banking or financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Metadata Collection: Gather and document metadata from various data sources.
• Data Flow & Data Lineage: Analyze and illustrate data flow and lineage from source data.
• Data Definition: Complete and maintain definitions for various data elements to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization.
• ETL Support: Collaborate with ETL team to ensure the lineage.
• Documentation Maintenance: Ensure all documentation related to metadata, data flow, lineage, and data definitions is updated and accurate.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with development and business unit to understand data needs and provide suitable solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data management, focusing on metadata management, ETL, or data analysis.
• Experience in the banking or financial industry is preferred.
• Understanding of data flow, data lineage, and data transformation concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, able to work both independently and as part of a team
