With exciting local and international expansion on the horizon, they are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead their end-to-end operations and ensure seamless execution of their growth strategy.

The Operations Director will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across the organization. This includes overseeing warehouse management, logistics, supply chain processes, and local workforce management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in FMCG operations and a deep understanding of both local and international market dynamics.

About the Operations Director position:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all operational functions.
  • Oversee all aspects of operations, including supply chain management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Lead the optimization of warehouse processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices for inventory management.
  • Manage logistics operations, including transportation, distribution, and freight management, to minimize costs and improve service levels.
  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Effectively manage and mentor a diverse local workforce, ensuring alignment with company values and operational standards.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for operational initiatives.
  • Embrace and adapt to local culture, fostering positive relationships with local stakeholders and communities.

Skills and experience needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management within the FMCG sector, with a proven track record of success.
  • Prior experience in Indonesia is essential, with a demonstrated ability to manage local teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics principles, with experience in warehouse management systems.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
  • Willingness to embrace and adapt to local culture and customs.
