Our client, a renowned Spanish-style restaurant with a lounge and bar located in the picturesque harbour of Gili Air, is seeking a General Manager. The role involves overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional service, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include managing the staff, implementing policies and procedures, maintaining quality standards and driving business growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Restaurant Manager or FB Manager in a well-established restaurant or Food and Beverage outlets in Bali.
  • Indonesian citizen only.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Posses Food & Beverage management skills such as costing, restaurant operations, hiring and training staff.
  • Proactive, problem-solving and people management skills.
  • Ability to live in a remote area of Gili islands for an extended period.
  • Proven track record in generating sales and revenues for a restaurant business.
  • Experience in conducting employee performance reviews regularly.
  • Ability to create and implement strategy for a newly opened business.
  • International experience is a plus!

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for improving efficiency and increasing profits while managing the overall operations of the coffee shop, dining area and bars.
  • Managing staff, overseeing the budget, employing marketing strategies, and many other facets of the business.
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff relating to maintaining and improving service, to introduce current promotions etc.
  • Overseeing resource allocation while maintaining budgetary control.
  • Communicating company policies, standards, and procedures to staff.
  • Organizing and adjusting staff rotations and schedules according to available resources and labour regulations.
  • Maintaining regular communication with staff and management through meetings and discussions.
  • Monitoring the cleanliness and hygiene of restaurant areas.
  • Overseeing bar and other displays to maximize functionality and attractiveness.
  • Ensuring proper inventory turnover & storage to reduce unnecessary expenses.
  • Have a full knowledge of menus and specials to be able to recommend and upsell.
  • Make every effort to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of guests' food and beverage requests throughout service.
