The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial and accounting operations. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize all financial transactions, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and expense tracking.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budget to provide insights on variances.
  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of all tax documents, including income tax, VAT, and other statutory obligations. Stay updated on tax laws and regulations.
  • Administer payroll processes, including calculating employee wages, managing deductions, and ensuring timely salary disbursement.
  • Review and process expense claims, ensuring that expenses are recorded correctly and within company policies. Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Manage day-to-day banking operations, including reconciliation of bank statements, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Establish and maintain internal control systems to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and organize accounting records and documentation for internal and external audits. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as procurement and operations, to ensure alignment of financial goals and cost management.
  • Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines, including regulatory reporting requirements and accounting standards.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or CMA are a plus.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks), and advanced knowledge of Excel for financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.
