Creative and Research Intern

Socium Consultancy is a corporate communication and business consultancy. Founded on the premise of bridging technology and communications, and academia and practice, Socium aims to provide businesses with the corporate communication service many would have thought was meant for the bigger firms. The concept of Corporate Communication-as-a-Service (CCaaS) was coined to provide bite-sized communication services for businesses hoping to build a brand reputation for themselves without having to hire an entire team.

The Opportunity

Socium's Creative and Research Internship program runs all year round, and we are now looking for interns to assist the client account managers in the creative work for clients.

The job responsibilities of the Creative & Research Intern include:

• Handle day-to-day operations such as administrative duties and support client relationship management
• Content generation (creative design and copywriting) for social media accounts
• Media relations
• Research and article writing
• Editorial work, graphic designs
• Basic photography and video editing
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Who We Are Looking For

To be eligible, candidates should be highly-motivated individuals who are willing to learn and deliver results. The candidate should preferably be equipped with the following professional skills and qualifications:

• Undergraduate in Business Administration or Communication courses
• Interest in marketing and social media management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to converse in English and Chinese (due to Chinese clientele)
• Intermediate photography skills, with own equipment
• Proactive, energetic and result-oriented
• Conversant with photo and video editing (portfolio required)
• Basic experience in content management systems and web management - Wix, Squarespace, Wordpress, Webflow
• Experience in SEO and SEM would be ideal
• Meticulous, independent and organised
