POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for working in a group environment with personnel for material planning and inventory control. Responsible to develop material requirement plan, supplier forecast, release purchase order to suppliers, and track shipment plan of suppliers to ensure production runs smoothly as per schedule and meeting customer demand.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:

  1. Bachelor degree of Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  2. 3 years working experience of material planning and inventory control. Experience of handling Excess and Obsolescence (E&O).
  3. Familiar with ERP, especially on MPS & MRP related functionalities, master data, and any planning tools (such as Kinaxis, etc). Knowledge or experience in QAD, understanding of IATF, MMOG requirements, and EDI or Web Portal are additional advantages.
  4. Good analytical skill, communication skill (verbal and written), problem solving skill, and a team player.
  5. English, verbal and written, is a must.
  6. Good skill of using Microsoft excel, word, and PowerPoint.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To review material supply and ensure sufficient supply with consideration of purchasing lead time and defined inventory parameter.
  2. To review regularly inventory parameters and master data.
  3. To send supplier forecast and purchase order, monitor forecast and order acknowledgement, and actual shipment of suppliers.
  4. To perform Best Can Do (Full kit material) to ensure that the production plan meets customer demand.
  5. To work together with Warehouse and Production team towards inventory accuracy.
  6. To ensure availability of materials and work with Warehouse team to ensure that materials are issued to production timely. In addition, all transactions are performed correctly and timely in the system.
  7. To perform escalation process in any potential of material shortages, late delivery of suppliers for any reasons; either due to late delivery, logistic issue, else. And to ensure that all possible action to prevent shortages are listed and executed timely.
  8. To ensure inventory target is met, either on Inventory amount and Days of Supply Inventory (DSI). To perform any possible action towards inventory optimization.
  9. To work together with Purchasing and Logistics on suppliers incoterm. Latest incoterm to be updated in system.
  10. To support NPI project on material planning and availability.
  11. To maintain and keep working area to meet environmental requirements and regulation compliance.
