The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and fostering a relationship with our suppliers and vendors. You will also oversee the implementation of the supply and production strategies.
Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery times.
- Develop strategies for reducing procurement costs while maintaining quality.
- Oversee the ordering process, ensuring timely deliveries to maintain uninterrupted kitchen and bar operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Ensure all purchases comply with the company’s policies and local laws (e.g., food safety, environmental standards).
- Regularly update senior management on purchase forecasts, cost analysis, and vendor performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 2 years in the FnB or hospitality industry.
- Strong background in sourcing and purchasing food products, beverages, and other related supplies.
- Familiarity with the latest food and beverage trends, suppliers, and seasonal purchasing strategies.
- Expertise in budget management, cost control, and negotiation to ensure competitive pricing.
- Ability to analyze market trends, demand, and supply chain dynamics to optimize purchasing decisions.
