Facility Engineer

Responsibilities :

1. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting data center operations and Comfortable with 24/7 critical environment infrastructure and data center equipment requirements and reporting directly to Facility Manager
2. Perform and supervise the maintenance of the data center core facility in providing the required services for customers in terms of mechanical, electrical, fire system, automation, and network.
3. Owned and participated in all site-level mechanical system issues, such as HVAC systems, chillers, centrifugal refrigeration systems, cooling towers, In Row Cooling, AHUs, pumps, water treatment, etc., during the project execution phase.
4. Develop reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis to optimize the performance and efficiency of data center operations.
5. Analyze and evaluate mechanical system performance, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for upgrades.
6. Analyze and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, from maintaining redundant high-capacity cooling systems to operating and supporting datacenter backup electrical systems (diesel generators, rotary uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), etc.).
7. Must be able to provide detailed information on the design and operation of the data center facilities to consultants, subcontractors, the field installation team, and the customer if required.
8. Embody a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of the BDDC environment and activities

Requirements :

1. Polytechnic or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Refrigeration or HVAC Specialized preferred), MEP or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in datacenter operations, engineering, or maintenance
3. Experience in mechanical project installation, operation, and commissioning of central utility plants, water processing systems, and air distribution systems
4. Advance knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, centrifugal refrigeration systems, fans, cooling towers, AHUs, pumps, and day-to-day operations in datacenters
5. Understand, perform, and deeply know all common cooling calculations and basic power calculations on single- and 3-phase circuits.
6. Have experience working with maintenance management systems, especially in a data center context.
7. Understand and have experience in developing SOPs, work plans, MOPs, or other operational documentation.
8. Good command of English, positive attitude, professional, responsible, hardworking, and eager to learn
9. A good team player with an excellent attitude and the ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed
