Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mine Operation Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day mining operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale mining projects, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all mining operations to achieve production targets and meet safety and environmental standards.
  • Implement strategies to optimize mining processes, equipment utilization, and workforce management.
  • Develop and monitor operational budgets to control costs effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all mining activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mining professionals to achieve performance excellence.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, geology, and maintenance, to support operational needs.
  • Prepare and present operational reports and performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in mining operations (Nickel commodity preferred), with a proven record in a managerial role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a large, diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of mining methods, equipment, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in mining software and project management tools.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Middle Operational Supervisor (POM) Certification.
  • Primary Operational Supervisor (POU) Certification is a plus.
