L2 IT Operations Event Manager

Wolkk is seeking an experienced L2 IT Operations Event Manager to join our team. This role focuses on event management within IT operations, utilizing monitoring solutions to identify potential incidents before they escalate, and ensuring the continuous availability and optimal performance of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing systems such as Linux, Kubernetes, and various virtualization platforms. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in event management, have experience with network management, and possess troubleshooting expertise across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Management: Oversee the management of IT operational events, using monitoring solutions to proactively address system issues.
• Monitoring Solutions: Implement and maintain monitoring systems to track performance, uptime, and potential issues.
• Linux and Kubernetes Management: Support and manage Linux servers and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring seamless operations.
• Virtualization Platforms: Administer virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware, and KVM, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
• Database Management: Oversee database management tasks to ensure high availability and performance.
• Backup Systems: Manage and maintain backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Azure Knowledge: Administer and troubleshoot Azure services, particularly Microsoft Entra ID and Azure AD.
• Network Management: Utilize networking skills (equivalent to CCNA level) to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
• Incident Management: Lead the identification and resolution of incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and proper incident tracking.
• ITIL Framework: Implement ITIL best practices in event and incident management to optimize operations.
• On-Call Support: Participate in on-call schedules and shifts to provide continuous event management and incident support.

Qualifications:

• Event Management Skills: Strong experience in managing IT events and monitoring solutions.
• Proficiency in Linux and Kubernetes administration.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware, or KVM.
• Database Management skills with a focus on maintaining and optimizing performance.
• Proven experience with backup systems and Azure services, including Microsoft Entra ID and Azure AD.
• Networking Skills: CCNA-level knowledge or similar experience in network troubleshooting.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and processes.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 applications and services.
• English Proficiency: B2 level or higher.
• Willingness to work outside regular office hours and participate in on-call rotations.
