Product Content Strategist (UX Writer)

As a Product Content Strategist, you will shape the user experience of Bukalapak products through copy and content. You will collaborate closely with designers, researchers, product managers, and various stakeholders to ensure we deliver the most impactful solutions.

What is Product Content Strategist?

In other companies they are called UX Writer, Product Copywriter, or Content Designer. At Bukalapak, We call this role Product Content Strategist.

How you will work

• You will only work on 2 projects max at a time, with the option to take 1 additional ad hoc task at your discretion. 1:1 ratio is possible if you're going to deliver holistic content strategy work.
• You will have the autonomy to choose which high priority projects to work on.
• You will get invited and involved in the whole development process from start to finish.
• You will have the opportunity to work on various project scales. From small adjustments to building new product from scratch.
• You will be encouraged to have a legacy in this team by exploring and scaling up our content practice.

What you will do

> Strategy and execution

• Craft clear copy and content to help users navigate Bukalapak platforms.
• Develop content strategy, frameworks, guidelines, and narratives to shape the best product experiences.
• Assess, plan, execute the whole content processes and deliverables needed in the project.
• Use data and insights to support your content decisions.
• Ensure consistency of Bukalapak’s voice and tone across products.

> Collaboration

• Clarify project scope and goals.
• Set expectations and propose reasonable timelines to stakeholders.
• Partner with designers, researchers, and product managers to translate problems and insights into impactful product solutions.
• Balance user experience, business goals, and technical constraints to create feasible solutions.
• Present your work and rationales.
• Facilitate content and design workshops to gather ideas or align decisions.
• Create proper documentation of your work, findings, and best practices.

> Team building

• Support content initiatives.
• Scale up content practice by exploring methods and frameworks with other Product Content Strategist.

Requirements:

• Strong effective writing skills.
• Proactive problem solving attitude.
• Strategic thinking skills and growth mindset.
• Speaks Bahasa Indonesia fluently and have basic English skills.
• Have at least 2 years of experience as writer (of any kind).
• Able to articulate content decisions.
• Preferably has background in UX and experience working in tech companies, agencies, or media companies.
• Provide latest portfolio or writing samples (mandatory).
