Data Architect

Job Description

• Build, optimise and maintain conceptual and logical data models and data architecture solutions that will ensure data is stored and processed efficiently and effectively, and supports optimum reporting and integration analysis to other systems within the Bank.
• Help leading the development of a holistic view of the data in the identified systems by building knowledge of current platforms, datasets, technology used, and strategy, including bank-wide Data Architecture and Strategic Data Roadmap to align with the Bank's vision, programme and strategic plan.
• Provide advice on the development of Data Architecture solution design for bank-wide projects to align with the Bank’s programme, standards and best practices.
• Enable a data driven enterprise in alignment with the enterprise data architecture vision
• Support data implementation and engage with data analyst and data engineer during the implementation
• Provide strategic direction in defining enterprise data models and integration for MDM, TDST and EDP.
• Responsible for the MDM’s target architecture and scale up to strategic implementation for improvement usage (realtime capabilities and integration), including the creation and maintenance of strategic roadmaps, designs and implementation of the MDM.
• Responsible for the EDP’s target architecture and integration, get data from upstream systems, processing data model (raw, curated and business data model), data visualisation, data virtualisation and consumption layer for adhoc query or rulebased engine/statistical model/AI/GenAI (data science platform)
• Help creating transition plans, improvement and scale up MDM capability, ensuring enterprise reusability of the MDM.
• Help directing the assessment of use cases for building a cutting edge MDM solution. TDST, EDP and other data solution initiative for the Bank

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant field
• At least 10 years of relevant working experience as IT Development in Data technology and systems, preferably in financial service; and/or
• At least 10 years of experience as Data Engineer or Consultant; and/or
• At least 5 to 7 years of experience as Data Architect.
• Understand Data Management concepts e.g. Data Quality, Metadata, Data Security.
• Extensive knowledge in defining enterprise data models (raw, data curation and bisnis layer) and architecture and orchestrating data pipeline workflow, automation, monitoring and alerting.
• Extensive knowledge on structure/unstructured data, batch/realtime processing from ingestion, storing and utilization of the data (include voice, pdf, images, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge in data virtualisation and integration to various database platform (SQL server, Oracle, Hadoop, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of reporting and analysis solutions and techniques on data visualisation, Tableau, PowerBI etc.
• Extensive knowledge on integration of data solution ecosystem to data consumer from On Premise to Cloud or vice versa.
• Strong knowledge ingestion from external data sources for structured and unstructured data by batch and streaming process (Kafka, FLink, CDC, etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge in data migration and governance experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Data Integration, ETL, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Big Data, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Relational Databases Management Systems (RDBMS) including structured, semi and unstructured data, batch and streaming pipeline, and use cases in Machine Learning and Data Science on premise or cloud solution (SQL server, AWS/Snowflake/BigQuery/AliBigData etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge in data science platform and data solution for Statistical model, AI/GenAI
• Knowledge and expertise of best-practice architecture frameworks, including TOGAF, methodologies, notations (such as UML), techniques (such as Design Patterns) and tools (e.g. Visio, PowerPoint)
