Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager (Generalist) with a strong focus on end-to-end recruitment, particularly experienced in hiring India market. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong background in recruitment, understands payroll and taxation, and is ready to contribute individually in a high-impact position. You will also help build and maintain a strong company culture as we scale.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the full recruitment cycle, especially for tech and business roles in India.
- Partner with hiring managers and founders to define talent needs and execute sourcing strategies.
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant tax and labor regulations.
- Apply knowledge of Indian employment laws and taxation in HR operations.
- Build and implement foundational HR processes and systems in a 0-1 environment.
- Drive employee engagement and contribute to a culture of innovation, transparency, and high performance.
- Handle onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Support employer branding initiatives and internal communications.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance and Legal for compliance and reporting.
- 8+ years of HR experience, with a focus on recruitment and headhunting.
- Demonstrated experience hiring talent in India, preferably in tech startups.
- Knowledge of Indian payroll, tax, and labor law.
- Proven ability to operate independently and drive initiatives end-to-end.
- Strong understanding of startup culture and 0-1 HR scaling.
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university; HR-related certifications are a plus.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
