CIS recruits for the creation of its new affiliate in Jakarta, a Purchasing & Logistics Manager.

Objective: Define the purchasing policy strategy of the Country and ensure its implementation.

Purchasing:

In collaboration with the Director, determine the operational, technical and supply requirements

for the proper execution of customer contracts and projects.

Negotiate supplier contracts and conditions; define the back margin policy.

Prepare responses to requests for quotations from operations.

Continuously ensure that each step of the procurement process is implemented and followed in

accordance with internal procedures.

Ensure the quality of the service provided.

Establish and ensure the updating of the material database including all the references necessary to

establish the costing for the needs expressed by the operations.

Reference all suppliers.

Maintain ongoing market intelligence across Indonesia and neighboring ASEAN countries. Actively

identify and assess new suppliers—both domestic and regional—based on pricing, quality, lead

time, and compliance. Support the supplier selection process, including occasional evaluation of

international vendors for specialized or high-value imports

Provide support to site-level procurement teams and project stakeholders across Indonesia during

bidding processes, including drafting technical and commercial specifications, reviewing supplier

proposals, and assisting in negotiation strategies when required.

Select service providers and suppliers, formalise the company's contractual expectations and

monitor the progress of services in liaison with the management.

Continuously work with the main objective of reducing costs and optimising the supplier panel in

order to fully satisfy the internal users of the CIS Indonesia.

Logistics:

Adapt deliveries according to country supply demands.

Supervise the follow-up of orders.

Select the actors needed to complete customs and import formalities in the countries.

Define the procedures for the formalities to be completed (legalisation, special certificates, etc.).

Administrative and financial:

Initiate and follow up on applications to issue letters of credit.

Control supplier invoicing and payment.

Ensure compliance with the objectives set.

Design and cost quotation requests.

Define the tariff conditions to be applied to customers.

Manage supplier disputes, in coordination with the legal department.

Add value and develop innovation through collaboration with suppliers.

Human Resources:

Continuously adapt resources to operational and budgetary requirements in coordination with the

Country Director.

Ensure the training, if necessary, of its team.

Profil

Education:

A 3- or 4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A

specialization or coursework in procurement, logistics, or international trade is an advantage.

Fluency in English is essential and fluency in another language would be appreciated.

Experience:

Experience in operations-based industries such as remote site services, catering, mining, oil & gas, or similar life support environments

At least 10 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within Indonesia and ASEAN markets.

Proven track record in negotiating supply contracts with domestic and regional (ASEAN) suppliers.

Solid understanding of logistics operations within Indonesia, including inter-island transport and coordination with freight forwarders.

Familiarity with import procedures and documentation is a plus.

Working knowledge of key logistics flows across Indonesia and the ASEAN region, including challenges related to remote site access and

infrastructure.

Experience managing procurement budgets or contributing to cost control and operational efficiency in a commercially accountable role.

Personal Skills:

Strong entrepreneurial spirit.

Maturity, adaptability, method, integrity, and rigour.

Strong resistance to pressure, ability to travel regularly.
