Are you passionate about travel, adventure, and love accounts? We're seeking a dynamic and attention to detail orientated Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team at TruTravels in Bali. In this role, you'll be performing accounting and clerical tasks that are related to accounts payable transactions. Your duties include but are not limited to receiving and logging invoices, maintaining and updating an accounts payable ledger and generating financial statements and reports as well as being across tax laws. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, passionate about accounts and wants to combine their love of travel with work!

The successful applicant will be based in Bali.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside our operations, bookings and Travel Ninjas team in the UK and Asia
  • Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
  • Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
  • Managing income and expenditure accounts
  • Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
  • Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status
  • Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
  • Handling general account queries
  • Maintaining a record of all receipts and payments
  • Acting as a point of contact for all internal and external financial issues
  • Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable
  • Working knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • IT literacy, including knowledge of various accounting software programs
  • Strong organisational skills, as they typically handle high volumes of invoices
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to actively listen to others and relay information clearly
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and creditors
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, organised, trustworthy and hardworking
