One of the key areas of concern is the economic empowerment of women. In Indonesia, UN Women programmes ultimately contribute to the achievement of gender equality through enabling women’s labour force participation, entrepreneurship, economic empowerment, and thus their full and equal participation in society. This Consultancy position will provide support for the following tasks under the Women’s Economic Empowerment pillar:
The Consultant will support the implementation of the WEPs Corporate Action Lab for Indonesia. Using an action lab approach, WEPs Corporate Action Lab is a collaborative, hands-on method to tackle complex problems, fostering creativity and innovation through group discussions, prototyping, and action-oriented learning, ultimately leading to the creation of gender-responsive solutions for a cohort of business sector committed to gender equality. The focus of the Indonesia Lab this year is on creating family-friendly workplace policies and strengthening employee-supported care; therefore corporates participating in the Lab will pilot and implement various solutions around this topic.
The Consultant will assist in the coordination and implementation of the two aforementioned Women’s Economic Empowerment projects. S(he) will assist the partnership building and work closely with the service providers, partners and project participants for quality assurance, monitoring, and ensuring UN Women’s visibility.

- Support the development of strategy documents, proposals, briefs, and other documents related to the WEPs Corporate Action Lab in Indonesia
- Work closely with the service provider recruited to develop the self-learning platform and organize campus roadshows, online intensive boot camp, and online mentoring sessions, to ensure quality assurance and gender-responsiveness of the overall initiative
- Facilitate consultation sessions and communication with UN Women Indonesia’s youth and civil society networks to inform the programme design and ensure inclusivity of the programme
- Support the collection of human impact stories, new approaches, and lessons learned and best practices of Link Women Indonesia to be documented as featured stories, media pitch, and social media pitch to showcase programme results
- Assist the regular and donor reporting related to Link Women Indonesia at the national and regional level
- Support the development of strategy documents, proposals, briefs, and other documents related to Link Women Indonesia
- Provide support to the WEE Unit on building and maintaining partnerships and positioning with government, potential donors and private sector;

- Minimum 7 years of professional experience (with high school diploma) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in supporting programme development and planning and/or programme management/implementation;
- Experience in project management
- Experience in planning and managing activities, developing Terms of Reference, concept note, presentation and briefs to support engagement with targeted partners would be an asset
- Experience in engagement with private sectors, especially in promoting gender equality, diversity inclusion and human rights in business is an asset
- Experience in managing youth engagement programme, especially in promoting capacity building for young women is an asset
- Knowledge and/or experience of utilizing human-centered design, innovation thinking, systems thinking, and creative and inclusive problem solving in development programming is an advantage
