This pivotal role will be responsible for strategically managing our procurement activities, fostering strong supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement within our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for a diverse range of international suppliers located in Japan, France, Thailand, America, and China, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Expertly negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other critical contract elements to secure the best possible value.
  • Proactively identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and value engineering.
  • Work in close partnership with Operations and PPIC departments to streamline import processes, resolve any logistical challenges, and ensure on-time delivery of essential materials.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust supplier selection and qualification processes for both overseas and domestic vendors, ensuring quality, reliability, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Plan and execute regular supplier audits and site visits to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and build strong collaborative relationships.
  • Lead and facilitate Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) workshops both internally and with suppliers to optimize product design and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to establish ambitious yet achievable cost reduction targets and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure purchasing effectiveness.
  • Manage the complete procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, purchase order issuance, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis of commodity trends to anticipate potential supply chain disruptions and identify advantageous purchasing opportunities.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies that are aligned with the company's overall strategic goals and operational requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Working proficiency in Chinese is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
