Main Purpose:-
- Put in place procedures, policies and SOP’s.
- Drive HSE implementation to meet both Orbia and local requirements
- Manage, monitor, guide, and review manufacturing, to ensure that they are up to Wavin’s quality and efficiency standards.
- Management of site manufacturing, technical and engineering operations in accordance with set Company objectives, ensuring the application of world-class H&S standards.
- Optimize OPEX, Maximize operational efficiencies within labour/materials/energy cost standards to planned output and in accordance with agreed specifications.
- Take actions to reach targeted conversion costs
- Conceptualize the improvement in productivity, quality, reliability, yield and cost efficiency in overall plant operations. Drive actions to meet required KPI’s put in place
- Drive, deliver and monitor Continuous Improvement initiatives in line with business strategy and objectives.
Job Responsibilities:-
- Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress
- Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
- Work on succession planning of the workforce, appraise the member’s performance & provide feedback.
- Coordinate material and resources allocation in line with Bom definitions to keep variances low
- Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
- Ensure excellent country-wide management of HSE activities, with the focus on ‘zero accidents’: safeguarding, as a minimum, common law and statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement a site strategy, that creates and sustains a genuine “world class operations environment” that services the Company’s Commercial function.
- Lead, develop, coach and engage Site Management Team.
- Manage and control the site operational financial budget, ensuring efficient utilization of all resources.
- Create and deliver year on year cost reduction projects, using continuous improvement tools.
- Overall coordination & control of all activities related to plant operations & maintenance.
Job Requirements:-
- Bachelor of Engineering / Masters level (Polymer, Production, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering)
- Min 10-15 years’ experience in managerial role at manufacture industry.
- Experience in uPVC, Extrusion/Injection molding, other plastics
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point
- Good Communication skills in written &verbal
- Excellent team-handling skills with a hands-on approach
- Good Leadership skills
- Technical, and operational knowledge of the PVC & Polymer compounding, extrusion, Automation, pneumatic conveying, and pipes quality standards.
