About Our Client
A leading FMCG with top of mind food & beverages products is looking for Head of Trade Marketing to lead end-to-end trade promotion initiatives of the company across channels including General Trade, Modern Trade, and B2B.
Job Description
• Trade Marketing Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of trade marketing strategies to support business objectives, brand growth, and sales targets across multiple retail and distribution channels.
• Channel Management: Collaborate closely with Sales, Category Management, and Distribution teams to create tailored trade marketing initiatives for key retail channels, including modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, and wholesale.
• Promotions & Campaigns: Design and implement trade promotions, product launches, and merchandising initiatives that drive consumer engagement, product visibility, and sales.
• Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail customers, distributors, and channel partners to understand their needs, improve trade terms, and maximize growth opportunities.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales, Category Management, Brand Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment in strategies, demand forecasting, and execution of trade marketing activities.
• Budget Management: Oversee the trade marketing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve maximum return on investment (ROI).
• Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor activities, market trends, and shopper behavior to adapt and optimize trade marketing strategies.
• Trade Marketing Activation: Lead the execution of in-store and online trade marketing activations, including POS materials, visual merchandising, and promotional events to maximize consumer impact.
• Reporting & Analytics: Develop and present regular performance reports to senior leadership, showcasing the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns and initiatives through sales data, market insights, and ROI analysis.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage the trade marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous development.
The Successful Applicant
• 10+ years of combined experience in Trade Marketing/Channel Development/Key Account Management within FMCG industry
• Experienced in handling trade marketing across different channels
• Strong leadership experience with mid-large team, with experience at least managing a team of 4 Managers
• Excellent English fluency and communications
• Background from multinational companies will be highly preferred
