Overview
As the Engagement & Loyalty MarTech Specialist, your role will combine Information Technology (IT)/Software tools with Marketing Skills to create a better process for ensuring marketing strategies are in line with the company’s overarching goal. You will be solving marketing problems with the use of an array of software/code/tools to ensure the backend technology feasibility criteria for various marketing objectives are achieved.
A successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, results-oriented team player who has relevant experience in building better experiences for humans. A strong sense of ownership, and a “self-starter” with the ability to learn quickly.
Main Responsibilities
- Be the Point of Contact for integrating new tools and solutions to drive the marketing engine
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for marketing tools in use
- Be the force that powers that backend for the conversion & retention engine as well as enabling fellow marketers to run cross-sell & upsell campaigns that increase share of wallet
- Your role will be cross-functional and you will interact with stakeholders from various functions. You will have to document, prioritize and help execute various projects that will help exolve the marketing engine
- You will need to be proficient in how various marketing tools come together to work cohesively including tools like Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, MMP (Adjust, Appsflyer), Postman.
- You will need to understand and enhance how our databases interact with our tools to create optimum data flows – DBs include Postgree, Redshift/Snowflake and many SQL stores
- Work with the data engineering team to build a case and execute initiatives
- Work with awesome tech and marketing professionals. They will look to you to give them clarity and purpose to what they do. Getting everyone aligned and gunning for goals is a big part of what you do.
- You will analyze different properties and figure out ways to increase engagement and achieve the goals set by the business.
- You will get to tailor experience for all the customers, observe opportunities and capture them using the tech resources.
- Liaise with and gather data across departments (and platforms) to understand and analyse various customer segments.
- Spearhead initiatives that streamline and offers better customer experience and loyalty
- Be up-to-date with CRM, retention and loyalty marketing best practices for our industry
- Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key campaign/project metrics to manager, stakeholders, and team members.
Demonstrated Skillset
- You have 2-3 years of experience in CRM, Marketing Analytics, and Lifecycle Marketing campaigns or working with tools that power such marketing efforts.
- You can write good Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), and manage projects from inception to execution.
- Familiarity working with webhooks, databases and understanding DB structures.
- Experience with tools like or similar to Google Optimize, Optimizely,Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Campaign Monitor, would be an advantage!
- You can plan a roadmap and stay focused enough to execute it.
- You can work with data to consume and make sense of it and present it in a consumable way through management using the suite of tools available to you.
- You can sell a new product/feature to stakeholders; and take it to market.
- S1 degree in Computer Science, Marketing or related technical, or equivalent practical experience is helpful, but not necessary.
- Track record of shipping. If you've done this in the past, you already know what the role is all about
- You have good communication skills.
- Experience working in a remote setting and in multicultural environments would be an advantage
Good to have:
- Marketing technology related certifications (for example, Salesforce Certified, Google Analytics Individual Qualification, or HubSpot Certification).
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum work environment.
- Experience in managing multi-channel digital marketing campaigns.
- Can write quick Python/Javascript scripts to nuance automation / personalization/reporting needs & build API calls using tools like Postman
- Understanding of tools like SQL, Postgree, Excel.
4.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment, managing competing deadlines.
5.Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
