About the Job
As a Tax Officer, you are responsible to ensure accurate and timely processing of tax filings, compliance with local and international tax regulations, and managing the day-to-day operations related to tax reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and file accurate and timely tax returns (corporate, VAT, and other applicable taxes).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and corporate policies, including local, regional, and international tax rules.
- Assist in managing tax payments and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during tax audits or filing processes.
- Maintain and update tax-related documentation, reports, and records for audit purposes and future reference.
- Support the implementation of tax technology solutions and streamline processes to ensure efficiency.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and provide advice on how these changes may impact the organization.
- Assist in tax planning and forecasting, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and goals.
- Participate in tax audits and investigations, providing relevant information and documentation when required.
- Prepare internal tax reports for management, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in tax operations, compliance, or a related field (corporate taxation, VAT, etc.).
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements, both local and international.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly within the region/country of operation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with different teams.
- Familiarity with tax technology tools or platforms (such as SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
