Job Description
Support customers' requirements/scheduling by ensuring that all aspects of the project scope of services are completed in a timely manner, within the project budget and to a technical standard that is acceptable to the client.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Promote, support, ensure and monitor all member adhere to safety procedure and policies in accordance with safety management system. Including: Active participation and contribution to specific safety initiatives in meetings; Report all hazardous and unsafe acts & Actively promote positive safety culture.
2.Promote, support, ensure and monitor all member adhere to Quality procedure and policies in accordance with the Integrated ISO Management System (9001; 14001; 45001) (where applicable) quality assurance system (for details Responsibility and Accountability please refer to QHSE System Procedure Doc. No.: QHSE-SYS-03).
3.Project management of the specified Condition Monitoring projects including cost control, technical quality assurance and timely delivery of solutions
4.Ensure compliance with client scope of work
5.Manage all staff associated with the project to ensure that all reasonable needs are met and that the working relationships are such that staff morale is kept high
6.Client liaison to always ensure issues resolution and satisfaction
7.Prepare monthly contract performance reports and conduct monthly/quarterly contract reviews with customer
8.Quantification of weekly percentage completion to ensure that the actual percentage completion is in line with contractual commitments and customer expectations.
9.Close working relationship with all staff working on the project to ensure no deviation from the client scope of work Highlight to the client additional work which relates to the project but which
10.was not included in the original project scope
11.Resource the project in line with the project charter from existing department staff where appropriate or with short term contractors where existing staff are either not available or do not have the correct skill set to complete the tasks required
12.Preparation and client sign-off of all administration documentation associated with the project
13.Ensure that all work by JCID team members at site is carried out safely and with the minimum affect to the environment.
14.Ensure that project deliverables have been subjected to HAZOP Studies and that risks to Health and Safety and to the Environment have been identified and measures put in place to reduce risks to an acceptable level.
15.Responsible to the Service Manager for managing the Profit and Loss of the team assigned to you at any given point.
16.Line management and performance management and review for your assigned team.
17.As an account manager works closely with Business Development / sales team to develop relationships with our clients and identify and develop business opportunities at site to maximize revenue.
18.Work with local HR team to ensure that resource requirements are identified in a timely manner.
19.Ensure the strict adherence to Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental management systems across the business.
20.Other duties as assigned
The role is based on-site at a customer facility(s), directly coordinating, scheduling and participating in work with the customer to comply with the “partnership agreement.” The role of the Condition Monitoring Engineer is to use specialist knowledge to develop, operate and manage Condition Monitoring programmes for John Crane clients.
The role will involve Condition Monitoring data collection, analysis and reporting of routine techniques. It is expected that the Engineer in this role will work to develop their specialist knowledge. John Crane will provide training to support this development.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
•At least minimum 5 years’ experience in similar capacity Technical Skills
•Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
•Sound knowledge of rotating and process equipment, knowledge of mechanical seals
People Skills
•Ability to effectively communicate in both written and spoken English
Desirable Specialist skills
•Vibration Analysis ISO 18436-2 Category 2 & 3, or equivalent preferred.
•Lubrication Analysis ISO 18436-4 Category 2, or equivalent preferred
•Thermography
•Rotor dynamics analysis (Orbits, Transient Analysis etc)
•In situ Balancing
•Laser Alignment
•Structural Analysis (ODS, Bump testing, Modal Analysis etc)
•Electrical tests (Motor Current Signature Analysis, Partial Discharge tests)
•Acoustic Analysis (Environmental noise, Ultraprobe etc)
•Utilization of multichannel analyzers and online systems Vibration
