The Technical Services Manager is a pivotal role within OXO Hospitality, responsible for consulting, supporting, and guiding potential new properties through the onboarding, pre-opening, and opening phases. This position ensures that all operational and structural aspects of boutique villas and boutique hotels meet OXO Hospitality's standards and align with the operational requirements for a seamless guest experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality technical services, with expertise in overseeing the technical and operational readiness of properties. This includes coordinating with property owners, designers, and contractors to ensure that the building design, facilities, and infrastructure align with operational efficiency and luxury service expectations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOnboarding and Consultation
- Act as the primary technical advisor for potential new properties during the onboarding phase
- Conduct property assessments to evaluate the suitability of the building and facilities for OXO Hospitality's operational standards
- Provide recommendations and support to property owners on required upgrades, modifications, or optimizations
Pre-Opening Support
- Collaborate with property developers, architects, and contractors during the pre-opening phase to ensure compliance with OXO standards
- Assist in reviewing architectural and technical plans to ensure alignment with operational needs, including guest flow, staff areas, and service facilities
- Develop and oversee the pre-opening checklist, including technical and operational readiness milestones
Operational Readiness
- Ensure that all technical systems (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC) and operational infrastructure are fully functional and meet required standards prior to opening
- Coordinate with property teams to establish effective maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures for technical services
- Work with OXO Hospitality's operational leaders to ensure a smooth handover of the property to the operations team
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical services management or a similar role in the hospitality industry
- Proven experience in pre-opening and opening processes for hospitality properties
- Strong knowledge of building systems, technical operations, and hospitality service requirements
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously
- Strong technical knowledge in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building design
- Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
