About the Role
Our Client is seeking a Fullstack Engineer with strong experience in Laravel (Vapor), ReactJS, React Native, and AWS to join their engineering team. You'll work closely with their Platform Technical Lead and Principal Engineers to build, scale, and optimise web and mobile solutions.
You’ll be responsible for developing both backend and frontend systems, implementing clean and testable code, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket. This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern server-less architectures and contribute to meaningful technical decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Laravel (Vapor), MySQL (RDS), DynamoDB, and S3.
- Build responsive and scalable front-end applications with ReactJS, React Native, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with technical leads to break down epics into actionable development tasks.
- Maintain deep technical documentation of architecture and platform dependencies.
- Ensure consistent application of coding standards and unit testing (Jest, Mocha, PHPUnit, etc.) for every commit.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines and enforce Git best practices.
- Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and security in a serverless AWS environment.
- Participate in sprint planning, feature development, and peer code reviews.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services efficiently.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and continuously improve engineering practices.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development.
- Strong backend experience with PHP and Laravel (Vapor).
- Solid front-end expertise using ReactJS, React Native, and TypeScript.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, React Testing Library, and PHPUnit.
- Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, and CI/CD automation.
- Familiarity with AWS services: RDS (MySQL), DynamoDB, S3, Amplify.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT), and security best practices.
- Comfortable working in agile teams, participating in planning and peer reviews.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and remotely.
