Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst will have the responsibility for ensuring financial reporting and analytics integrity, whose business activities are across South East Asia. This role is heavily involved in finance processes supporting the Community business unit particularly on Public sector projects.

  • Responsible for finance processes supporting public sector projects and grant submissions, adhering to the contract terms and conditions set by the various donors. The process will include the reconciliation of grant expenditure, making payments to verified expenditure, identifying non-fundable expenditure items, conducting budgetary checks etc.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reporting for all projects, including monthly burn rate analysis as well as supporting budget submissions for new proposals.
  • Prepare invoices and monitor payment schedules of the project revenue.
  • Maintains and reconciles bank/financial accounts with accounting records by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Process monthly payroll for employees and consultants.
  • Handle tax reporting and filing matters (GST, Corporate Income Tax etc.), including its filing and payment to tax authorities.
  • Support Manager in preparation of financial statements for annual statutory filing including XBRL.
  • Prepare audit schedule and attend to the queries raised by external auditors
  • Prepare information for due diligence by investors/shareholders.
  • Supports budget and forecasting activities.
  • Support any ad-hoc requests by the Company.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional accounting equivalent eg ACCA
  • At least 5 years related working experience as a finance professional in an international organization /startup with a multicultural environment, having initial years spent at an accounting or audit firm.
  • Familiarity with public sector grants or other similar grants or experience working for INGOs or international social and welfare organizations is preferred
  • Hands on knowledge of accounting system Xero is a plus
  • Have good communication skills (oral and written) and excellent interpersonal skills,
  • Positive working attitude, willingness to learn and be an excellent team player.
  • Excellent organization & problem solving skills
  • Able to multi-task, work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Resilient, attention to details and a strong drive to succeed
