We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced to work from home in Indonesia. This role is to assist with financial reporting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance. This role requires expertise in Australian accounting standards, GST, BAS, payroll processing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will work remotely, ensuring accurate financial management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records for Australian clients.
- Prepare and review BAS (Business Activity Statements), GST reports, and PAYG withholding.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial reporting, including reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments.
- Process payroll in compliance with Australian tax laws, including Superannuation, STP (Single Touch Payroll), and leave entitlements.
- Conduct bank and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare and analyse profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Assist with tax compliance, ensuring adherence to ATO (Australian Taxation Office) regulations.
- Work with Australian accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Liaise with the Australian team regarding financial queries, reports, and compliance updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in accounting (experience with Australian clients preferred).
- Knowledge of Australian tax laws, BAS, GST, payroll, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or other Australian accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Experience working in an offshore team environment supporting Australian businesses is a plus.
