Job Scope:
The job purpose of an Accounting Supervisor typically involves overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining financial controls
Job Responsibilities:
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with the company’s financial records to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are identified and addressed promptly.
- Preparation and Review of Financial Documents: Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, statements, and documents to ensure they are accurate, complete, and in compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Stock Take/Inventory Reconciliation: Conduct periodic stock take and reconcile inventory records with physical stock to ensure accurate reporting and control over inventory levels.
- Management of Financial Accounts and Records: Oversee and manage the financial accounts and records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and comply with accounting principles and company policies.
- Posting Transactions and General Ledger Maintenance: Post financial transactions and categorize them appropriately in the general ledger, ensuring that all entries are accurate, consistent, and reflect the company’s financial position.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare necessary documents and supporting schedules for internal and external audits, ensuring that all required information is available and organized for review.
- Month-End Closing: Manage and execute month-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial data is finalized, reports are generated, and necessary adjustments are made to close the month’s books accurately and on time.
- Tax Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly tax liabilities and ensure that tax-related records are accurate, including VAT, withholding taxes, and other applicable taxes, in compliance with local regulations.
- Accounting, Tax, and Finance Administration: Manage day-to-day accounting, tax, and finance administration tasks, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of financial matters while complying with statutory requirements.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in any Accounting discipline.
- Over 2-5 years of experience in accounting and taxation.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end closing procedures.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and experience in managing tax filings and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and other accounting software tools.
- Familiarity with accounting systems integration, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in financial records, reports, and transactions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report financial information to senior management.
