Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job:
- Operating as Account Manager for the Home & Personal care business covering Indonesia region.
- Contribute to annual sales and growth targets for HPC in Indonesia and grow our national sales in the assigned territory.
- Support all relevant business lines within performance formulations where Nouryon local resource is required e.g. market development, generating leads, local regulation understanding, building local relationships, etc.
- Build on existing market development plan and grow Nouryon HPC presence with global and regional accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Work with our channel partners to build stock and opportunities to enhance reach to market.
About The Job (Job Responsibilities):
- Work in coordination with customer technical/marketing teams to understand consumer needs and deliver support as per customer requirements.
- Improving opportunity success rate/ turnaround time.
- Make recommendations on what products to be used, arrange samples, technical bulletins, statements, etc.
- Assess and understand the market needs, trends including changes in customer portfolio, competition, applications, solutions and products in the market.
- Develop, identify and asses new business opportunities. Build a robust opportunity pipeline to reflect region’s potential for growth.
- Liaise with global technical teams to create synergies applicable to local market.
- Ensure customer/ distributor training on product/ application knowledge.
- Understand individual customers’ needs, and present unique product value propositions to create new wins.
- Prepare reports, data to be shared with internal and external audience.
- Establish relationships with external customers to support the development of new projects and help fill the knowledge gap on end applications where needed.
- Visit and help organizing local trade shows / conferences and Distribution seminars.
We believe you bring (Education & Experience)
- Degree in BS Chemical Engineering, BS Chemistry, and/or BBA/MBA is preferred.
- Background with Sales/Account Management in the Homecare & Personal Care Industry of at least 4-5 years.
- Requires strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
- Takes ownership & accountability and carries an entrepreneurial mindset to find solutions and make sound recommendations.
- Self-driven & self-starter.
- Energetic/enthusiastic with strong drive and capacity for taking initiatives.
- Positive mind set and attitude, willing to learn new things.
- Travel ~50% of his/her time.
- Professional in English, verbal and written and preferably speaks the regional languages.
