
Head of Fundraising & Public Relations
Job Description:
The Head of Fundraising & Public Relations is responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising, marketing, and communications strategies to increase public awareness and strengthen Yayasan Senyum Bali's partnership network. This position will also oversee Smile Shop operations, manage relationships with sponsors and partners, and ensure that social media campaigns are optimized to support the foundation's sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising & Partnership Strategy:
- Identify, design, and execute fundraising strategies, including sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, fairs, and charity events to generate funds
- Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with sponsors and strategic partners.
- Develop persuasive sponsorship proposals and negotiate with relevant companies, organizations, and communities.
- Coordinate with operational teams to ensure fundraising initiatives are effective and transparent.
- Oversee the contribution management process, including documentation and reporting to sponsors and donors.
- Collaborate with the team to promote fundraising activities and expand the reach of the foundation's campaigns.
- Build and strengthen relationships with individuals, communities, and businesses that are potential fundraising partners.
2. Smile Charity Shop Management:
- Manage the daily operations of the Smile Shop, including staff supervision, scheduling, and product allocation.
- Develop marketing and promotional strategies to increase store traffic and sales.
- Manage and oversee the sorting of donated goods and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and display of products for a positive shopping experience.
- Organize and ensure the accuracy of sales transactions and transparent deposit of sales proceeds.
3. Public Relations & Strategic Communications:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, families, hospitals, donors, and communities.
- Act as the primary contact for all communications, media relations, and external partnerships.
- Develop advocacy strategies to raise awareness of craniofacial conditions and the foundation’s work.
- Maintain active communication with sponsors and partners, ensuring mutual benefits and transparency.
- Create compelling PR and marketing campaigns to enhance our visibility.
4. Supervise the Creative Team:
- Supervise the creative team (graphic design, content production, and social media), together with the Operations Manager and Chairperson.
- Ensure all communication and marketing materials align with the foundation’s brand identity and messaging.
- Provide direction and support to the team in developing innovative marketing ideas, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.
- Monitor Yayasan Senyum Bali's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), email campaign, and website contents together with the Operations Manager.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Foundation Chairperson to ensure synergy between fundraising, communications, and foundation operations.
- Oversee creative content development and digital marketing strategies to increase engagement and awareness.
- Analyze social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and communication strategies.
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, scheduling, promotion, and post-event evaluation.
- Collaborate with the creative team to produce promotional materials for events and public campaigns.
5. Reporting & Administration:
- Prepare periodic reports on fundraising progress, event performance, shop performance, and partnership development.
- Manage administrative records related to sponsorships, partnerships, and Smile Shop sales.
- Analyze operational data to develop improvement strategies and enhance program effectiveness.
- Ensure all administrative documents are properly documented and organized.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience in fundraising, partnerships, sales & marketing, or communications.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
- Experience in team management, leadership, and staff supervision.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively in developing marketing and fundraising campaigns.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and branding to increase foundation engagement.
- Strong storytelling and copywriting skills to inspire donors and supporters.
- Ability to develop and execute creative marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
- Excellent English communications skills (speaking, writing, presentation & interpersonal)
- Willing to be based in Bali
- Graphic design and video editing skills are a plus
- Target-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a dynamic environment.
- Extensive network in the community and business world is a plus.
- Independent yet able to work in a team.
- Willing to work flexible hours as needed to support the foundation’s programs.
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to work with a schedule that aligns with the foundation's needs
