Our client is Machine Process Company, partnering with major players in the infrastructure, energy, chemicals and high-performance materials sectors.

This position has the responsibility for achieving the budgeted sales target for all market applications such as Chemical, Performance Materials, Metals, Infrastructure, Mining, Energy, and Circular Technology. In conjunction with the Sales team, the successful candidate must be able to identify and develop new business opportunities by keeping abreast of emerging new projects, whilst developing and fostering sound business relationships within the industry.

The role will manage all aspects of the process from customer enquiry to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with key customers.
  • Ensure customer face time is maximized with all existing and potential sites visited with relevance to sales call plan.
  • Respond to all requests for quotation or tender in a timely and professional manner.
  • Project manage the enquiry process ensuring the required input from application engineers, product managers and product engineers and facilitate their introduction to the customer when required.
  • After contract award, provide support to complete the sales process until invoice and customer claim
  • Remain in contact as required with the customer during the implementation phase to ensure all issues are dealt with in a timely manner and customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Manage / update key information into the CRM ORACLE database
  • Work effectively across the business with other key stakeholders to increase selling opportunities through promoting all company products.
  • Take initiative to unearth potential opportunities and champion these within the business
  • Attend and promote at relevant trade shows and expos
  • Achieve Order Intake & Sales revenue budget, whilst maximizing achievable margins.
  • Ensure commercial terms and conditions are always within corporate guidelines.
  • Order Intake forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Follow up account receivable issues if directly related to Sales Engineer.
  • Ensure timely submission of relevant sales related reports.
  • Assist with update of Sales database information.

Qualifications

  • Candidate will be based in Balikpapan (Kalimantan) or Palembang (Sumatera) area.
  • Must be degree qualified with preference in Instrumentation Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales.
  • Must have considerable knowledge of Mining/Metals/Cement industry/Palm Oil and its application.
  • Previous relationships within Mining/Metals/Cement industry/Palm Oil would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and oral command in Bahasa Indonesian and English.
  • Willingness to travel to remote sites.
  • Class A driver's license is required.
