About The Role
This role will require you to focus on building and developing the savory business unit within the Region.
Key responsibilities
Customer Interface (Driving Value)
- Support Account Managers as Technology POC where required to understand the customer needs and to navigate Kerry technologies to deliver value.
- Discover New customers / new opportunities with existing customers: Responsible for leading the development of opportunity.
- Represent Kerry at external forums whenever needed.
- Capture competition landscape and identify key differentiating values & competitiveness of the selected foundation technologies.
- Leverage product strategy and collaborate with relevant EUM or commercial leaders in market.
- Provide clear market positioning and right to win for the technology including acquisitions.
- Work with marketing teams to ensure technology & EUM activation campaign to be launched as scheduled.
- Drive performance of the collection in the BU through customer differentiation and margin, leverage the breadth and depth to build value and drive market growth in line with EUM strategies within the region.
- Identify global foundation technologies that are relevant for regional & connect the learning from global to regional and also within the region.
- Identify gap areas on current technology collection and work with RDA/Innovation team to prepare mid-term opportunities.
- Global innovation Execution: BD to support the launch & generate excitement in region for new innovations including sales training, execution plans and positioning with customers.
- Inform and influence innovation pipeline by understanding competitor and external product technology market aligned to global and regional EUM strategies.
- Support account managers by identifying technology gaps wherever needed to be upgraded (i.e. CIU, performance) and link with global product manager to close the gap.
- Pipeline conversion - align the appropriate resources to accelerate product closure.
- Work with relevant stakeholders (product management and pricing) to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with technology margin expectations and address issues.
- Partner with regional sales teams and Commercial Finance to support the execution of pricing strategy.
- Provide market feedback on pricing, market trends, customer and competitor insights.
- Preferably a bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent. Master’s degree will be an advantage.
- Preferably a minimum of 10 year in a Commercial/Business Development role within the Food Ingredient or Flavor industry.
- Good to have some technical knowledge & exposure within the Food Ingredient or Flavor industry.
- Highly motivated to win new business. Ability to identify gap areas & opportunities with a strong execution skill.
- Experience of working cross functionally with R&D, Operations and Finance in a highly complex, matrix environment.
- Willingness to travel within the region to connect platform technologies including customer visits.
- Proven leadership skills to drive business strategy.
- Fluent in in both Local and English language.
