Role Overview

We are looking for a product manager to lead the development and enhancement of our Islamic products portfolio (Ziswaf + Qurban). You will work at the intersection of technology, user experience, and religious compliance, ensuring that our offerings meet market demands while staying true to Islamic principles. The role requires a clear product vision, the ability to thrive in uncertainty, and strong execution skills. This is a 1-year contract role with the possibility to be renewed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product delivery: Executing the vision effectively. Ensuring that the validated ideas from the discovery phase are successfully brought to market. This involves managing the complexities of execution, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring that the product is shipped in a way that meets the quality and timing expectations set during the planning phase.
  • Product discovery: Finding the right product to build. A creative process where PMs need to engage deeply with users, prototypes, and data to uncover the real problems worth solving. The process is non-linear and requires a willingness to pivot based on what is learned during the discovery phase.
  • Stakeholder management: Securing buy-in from stakeholders and fostering a deep sense of ownership and passion among them. This involves facilitating discussions where stakeholders feel heard and valued, leading to better collaboration and more successful product outcomes.
  • Prioritization and roadmap management: Maintaining and communicating a product roadmap that prioritizes features and initiatives delivering the most value to users and the business.

Metrics & Performance Tracking

  • Defining success metrics: Define what success looks like for the product, typically through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as user engagement, retention, revenue, and satisfaction.
  • Performance analysis: Regularly track these metrics to assess product performance and make data-driven decisions for future iterations.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have:

  • Strong product sense: Proven ability to empathize with users' needs and solve their problems creatively.
  • Strong execution sense: Proven ability to drive projects to completion in a fast-paced, uncertain environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management: Clear and persuasive in written and spoken interactions, coupled with a high agency mindset.
  • Solid foundational experience: 3+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to fintech, social impact, or culturally specific products. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Should Have

  • Domain knowledge: Familiarity with the ethical and regulatory aspects of donation, zakat, wakaf, and qurban.
  • Technical proficiency: Hands-on experience with website and mobile app ecosystems, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams.
  • A track record of launching a fairly successful product.

Nice To Have

  • Experience designing for fintech or social impact platforms: Prior exposure managing financial services, donation platforms, or culturally specific products.
  • Prior experience with Islamic products: Provides additional context to the role’s unique challenges.
