The Finance & Accounting Specialist is a versatile role responsible for managing all aspects of finance operations, including day-to-day accounting tasks, tax compliance, data entry, document verification, and basic financial reporting analysis. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Finance Operations:
    • Manage daily financial transactions such as accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
    • Manage timely payment of premium to insurance.
    • Manage reconciliation between insurance records, bank statement and accounting entries.
  • Accounting Functions:
    • Maintain the general ledger and support month-end/year-end closings.
    • Record and process financial transactions in compliance with Indonesian GAAP
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and ensure timely record-keeping.
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Prepare, file, and maintain documentation for tax returns and other regulatory filings.
    • Coordinate with tax consultants and authorities to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Data Entry & Document Verification:
    • Accurately input financial data into Xero accounting systems.
    • Review and verify supporting documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements) to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Basic Reporting & Analysis:
    • Generate routine financial reports and perform basic variance and trend analysis.
    • Provide insights and support decision-making with low-level financial analysis.
    • Compile reporting to match the format used in consolidation/Management reporting
  • Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
    • Assist in developing and enforcing internal policies and procedures.
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy within financial processes.
  • Ad-hoc Projects:
    • Support special projects such as audit preparation as needed.
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, or a similar role.
  • Proficient in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Diligent.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
