PepsiCo is hiring a Cold Storage Operator who will maintain the cold storage warehouse of incoming raw material potatoes as well as the potato issuance from the warehouse to the production line, ensuring that daily inventory and issuance reports are submitted on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle cold storage operations for raw material potatoes and ensure full compliance in temperature recording and management
  • Compliance on daily potato issuance and inventory reports in a timely manner
  • Relevant data entry of records in Excel and SAP regarding potato cold storage
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of stock
  • Supervision of staff for effective working on two lines at a time to run PC 32 line.
  • Ensure on time CIPC application in all bags and bulk storages
  • Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste as per protocol
  • Improvement in Cold storage equipment down time and storage losses
  • Managing different varieties of potato in storages and during issuance to production line
  • Ensure on time CIPC application in all bags and bulk storages

Qualifications & experience

  • A minimum of a D3 degree, preferably in agronomy, industrial engineering, or related majors
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in cold storage and warehouse operations, preferably within the food industry and handling fresh produce or perishable goods (experience in handling cold storage is a must)
  • Knowledge of potato storage management, including temperature control and quality preservation, would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping using systems
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and cold storage tracking software
