Job Title: Ecommerce Head, APAC

Reporting To: CEO, APAC
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to take on the role of Ecommerce Head, APAC to drive the growth and expansion of our FMCG Ecommerce business across the region. Reporting directly to the CEO of APAC, this role is responsible for developing the regional Ecommerce strategy, setting up operations, managing a multi-country team, and scaling the business across different APAC markets.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in FMCG Ecommerce, experience in leading regional teams, and a proven track record in driving revenue growth across multiple digital commerce channels, including marketplaces, direct-to-consumer (DTC), and quick commerce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Expansion
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Ecommerce strategy for APAC, aligned with regional business goals.
- Lead the market entry strategy, setup, and operational scale-up in key APAC countries.
- Define and implement multi-channel Ecommerce strategies across marketplaces (Shopee, Lazada, Tokopedia, Amazon, etc.), DTC platforms, quick commerce, and social commerce.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance the Ecommerce ecosystem, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
2. Regional Team Leadership & Cross-Country Management
- Build, manage, and lead a high-performing Ecommerce team across multiple APAC countries.
- Establish best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and scalable frameworks for regional and local teams.
- Ensure effective collaboration between country-specific Ecommerce teams and central APAC functions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and high performance within the regional Ecommerce team.
3. P&L Ownership & Revenue Growth
- Own and manage the Ecommerce P&L for the APAC region, driving sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
- Develop and execute pricing, promotional, and commercial strategies to optimize sales performance across markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Ecommerce players, marketplaces, digital agencies, and technology partners to maximize business opportunities.
4. Performance Optimization & Digital Growth
- Implement and oversee performance marketing, SEO, CRM, and digital advertising strategies to drive traffic and conversion.
- Optimize the end-to-end Ecommerce customer journey, ensuring seamless discovery, purchase, and post-sale engagement.
- Leverage data analytics and consumer insights to track KPIs, optimize performance, and identify growth opportunities.
5. Stakeholder Management & Regional Collaboration
- Act as the key Ecommerce leader for APAC, working closely with local country managers, marketing, supply chain, finance, and IT teams.
- Align regional Ecommerce objectives with overall APAC business strategy, as defined by the CEO and leadership team.
- Represent the Ecommerce function in regional and global leadership discussions, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Ecommerce, Digital Commerce, or FMCG Retail, with regional APAC exposure.
- Proven experience in building and leading cross-country teams in Ecommerce.
- Strong expertise in scaling Ecommerce businesses across multiple APAC markets with a focus on marketplaces, DTC, and quick commerce.
- Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics (Shopee, Lazada, Tokopedia, Amazon, etc.), digital marketing, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of P&L management, revenue growth, and profitability optimization.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
