Operations Supervisor- IRAQ

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and participate in the operational activities, which includes the Sulfur Recovery Unit, Tail Gas Treatment Unit, and Sulfur Forming Unit.
- Review the design data, calculations, and PIDs to confirm they match the specifications. Analyse process parameters and laboratory analyses to set appropriate operating conditions that align with design specifications.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend modifications following the Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
- Assess the effectiveness of the implemented HSE management system, identify compliance gaps, and provide corrective guidance.
- Actively collaborate with the Operations and Maintenance Teams to resolve operational challenges, identify potential issues, and enhance performance.
- Monitor daily operations and ensure that process parameters remain within approved limits to achieve desired product quality.
- Lead the investigation of process incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide technical support to the Operations and Maintenance Teams, assisting with troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues.
- Review and supervise procedures for commissioning, start-up, shutdown, and overhauls, participating in these activities as needed.
- Contribute to plant modification proposals or new facility developments, from initial concept through to commissioning and start-up.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Refining, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in process engineering, operations, and projects with international operators in refining, petrochemical, or upstream facilities.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
