Position Summary
The Legal & Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly those set by Bank Indonesia and other relevant authorities. This role involves developing compliance frameworks, assessing risks, monitoring regulatory changes, and serving as the primary liaison with regulators. The position plays a key role in maintaining good corporate governance and mitigating compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate compliance risks while ensuring business operations align with legal and regulatory standards.
- Review and update company policies and procedures to comply with Bank Indonesia regulations and other applicable laws.
- Act as the main liaison for regulatory authorities, including DKSP, DSPK, and other BI divisions, handling audits, inquiries, and compliance reporting.
- Conduct compliance training for employees to enhance regulatory awareness.
- Monitor and ensure the company addresses findings from regulatory audits in a timely manner.
- Represent the company in meetings and discussions with Bank Indonesia, industry associations, and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in legal and compliance roles.
- Familiarity of Bank Indonesia regulations and financial sector compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in coordinating with DKSP & DSPK departments at Bank Indonesia.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial regulations.
- Experience in handling regulatory audits and compliance assessments.
- Experienced in handling licensing processes with OJK & Bank Indonesia.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
