INTERNAL QUALITY AUDITOR AND DOCUMENT CONTROL ENGINEER

Your Future Role
The Internal Quality Auditor and Document Control Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with quality standards across the organization. This role involves planning and conducting internal audits, identifying areas for process improvement, and implementing corrective actions. The position also includes managing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, ensuring proper version control, and adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant standards. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, familiarity with quality improvement tools, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement. Effective communication and attention to detail are essential for success in this position
Key Responsibilities
- Audit Planning & Execution: Develop audit plans and schedules to monitor processes and ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct internal audits across various areas, including production, to ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other standards.
- Reporting & Presentation: Prepare audit reports with findings and areas for improvement. Present results to management and recommend corrective actions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with teams to create action plans to enhance quality.
- Quality Monitoring & Control: Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met. Implement corrective actions and re-audit to confirm issues are resolved.
- Documentation Control & Compliance: Manage and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) documentation. Ensure documents are controlled, up-to-date, and compliant with ISO standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve auditing practices and QMS effectiveness using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, and FMEA.
- Collaboration & Support: Work with the QA Manager and other teams to align on quality goals and provide support, including training on compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Welding Engineering, Metallurgy, or similar fields. Other engineering degrees with relevant experience in metal fabrication are also acceptable.
- Certifications: ISO 9001/QMS Internal Auditor Certification (required) and Lead Auditor Certification in ISO 9001/QMS (preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in quality auditing or document control, ideally in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 19011, and ISO 17021 standards.
- Skilled in conducting audits, preparing audit reports, and managing corrective actions. Familiar with mechanical drawings, metal fabrication processes, and document control. Experience using quality improvement tools like 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, and 7 QC Tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for process improvement and Detail-oriented, independent, proactive, and able to work well within teams.
