Job Description
THE POSITION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The EPI Officer works closely with the Project Manger health to provide technical support to FHHs MWs through frequent supervision, communication, on the job and formal trainings, workshops, and other activities. He/she provides supportive supervision visit to the field to make sure about the EPI related performance, supply of vaccines, storing vaccines properly, reporting of EPI data, quality and consistency of data and progress toward implementation of Project.
Specific Responsibility
Implementation of standard. /EPI system at HPs and Health facility Level.

Job Description

Specific Responsibility

- Creation of awareness regarding EPI services in FHHs vaccine are supplied.
- Supervision of FHHs for proper storing and timely administration of vaccines
- Ensure all vaccine related data is properly recorded and kept.
- Supervise consistency of data, timely collection of data for reporting purpose.
- Data Processing and analysis: Ensuring the data collected from FHHs level is as per registration.
- Presentation of analyzed data in summary tables and graphs
- Interpretation of Information
- Ensure achievement of target of related indicator
- Decision making:
- Find out probable causes of problems
- Find out possible solutions
- Define additional information needed to understand the problem
- Provide monthly written feedback to MWs
- Prepare PIP or action plan for the problem and follow up the performance to ensure the problem is addressed.
Improving quality of data collected from FHHs through:
- Regular supervision of FHH.
- On-job training of staff of FHHs during supervision visit
- Conducting EPI refresher training for staff of FHHs.
- Assist the cluster supervisor in training Need Assessment of staff of FHHs
- Identify and recruit Surveyors
- Conducting training for Surveyors
- Support conducting survey in the field
- Monitoring and evaluation of Survey
- Analysis and evaluation of Survey data
- Support final report of CAAC survey
- Keep proper record of CAAC survey for payment and record keeping.
- Establish and strengthen referral system from community to FHHs
- Assist the Project team and research team in conducting Epidemiological surveys:
- Data collection, data entry and analysis of epidemiological studies conducti in the catchment
- Coordination/Collaboration /EPI issues
- With Community Shura
- CAF; assist the EPI Officer of CAF in data entry of EPI Report from FHHs to National EPI Data Base.
- Reporting
- Prepare Field Visit Report
- Prepare monthly personal activity report
- Prepare monthly EPI Report of FHHs
- Assist the Project manager and RH officer in preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Progress Report
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Medical institutions graduate of medical science.
- Training in EPI is desirable.
- At least 5 years experiences of working in BPHS field.
- Experience in training, facilitation, and/or program support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skill
- Computer skill
- English skill
