Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) is an integrated nickel-based mining and processing facility located in Lelilef Village, Weda District, Central Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Hydrology Engineer at Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park. The Senior Hydrology Engineer will be responsible for overseeing water management systems, conducting hydrological studies, designing drainage systems, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilites

  • Prepare technical assessments on water management activities and provide recommendations to work contractors.
  • Develop water management procedures and monitor/control their implementation at site in coordination with contractors.
  • Supervise site hydrology studies and drilling activities.
  • Provide requires inputs and coordinate with consutants/contractors.
  • Dimensioning of water management structures, sediment ponds, drainage channels and follow up maintenance program.
  • Capable operating Geotechnical, Hydrogeology and Mining Software (Surpac, AutoCAD, Gobal Mapper, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, Slide, Slide2, RS, Plaxis).

Qualifications

  • Hydrological Modeling, Water Management, and Drainage System Design skills
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in conducting hydrological studies and environmental impact assessments
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • POP certification is mandatory
