JOB DESCRIPTION
The Accounting and Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and optimizing the company’s financial health. This role involves financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.
Financial Management & Reporting.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
- Monitor expenditures, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist department heads in budget preparation and cost control strategies.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of tax reports.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated with financial regulations and implement necessary changes.
Cash Flow & Risk Management
- Manage cash flow and working capital to maintain financial stability.
- Oversee banking relationships and financial transactions.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.
- Provide training to ensure compliance with financial best practices.
JOB SPECIFICATION
- Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Finance preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting/finance, including experience in taxation and at least 3 years in a managerial role.
