Technical Writer
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, manuals, references, or instructions. This candidate should have strong communication skills which enable them to explain complicated concepts in a simple manner. This individual will also meet with customer representatives frequently in order to understand required content.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, and FAQs
- Meet with client representatives to establish technical specifications
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand software features and functionalities
- Write and edit technical content for both internal and external audiences
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and accessibility in documentation
- Manage version control and documentation updates in alignment with product releases
- Use tools like Markdown, Confluence, and Git to streamline documentation processes
- Explain technical ideas in simple language
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computering Engineering or Information Technology with GPA minimum 3.00
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing for software, IT, or SaaS products
- Strong understanding of API documentation and developer guides
- Proficient in using Confluence, Notion, Swagger, or Postman
- Able to create diagrams with Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, or Miro
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand highly technical information
