You will liaise with our client's Drilling Engineer for all cementing related concerns. Prepare cement programs and effectually follow cementing operations.
As a Cementing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Being the primary contact for client for job preparation, execution and close out.
- Preparing cement programs and discussing the program with our client’s Drilling Engineers. Planning future wells and performing surveillance on active cementing operations.
- Preparing logistics for cementing, ensuring all chemicals, blends, and equipment are available on the rig.
- Coordinating and monitoring all job activities as outlined in managing the job cycle across organizational boundaries.
- Adhering to client’s process for Management of Change / escalation to ensure proper process is followed when at risk of not achieving objectives.
- Ensuring invoices are in line with contract/quote, with no revenue leakage and timely collection of cash.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
- Have significant experience in cementing and downhole tools service.
- Be conversant with applicable software for cement job simulation and planning.
- Possess familiarity with cementing additives and their functions.
- Have good communication skills, including intercultural skills, to participate in technical meetings with stakeholders.
- Be fluent in verbal and written English and have good reporting skills
