Job Summary:

The Senior Quality Assurance Lead Inspector will oversee and ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols for key customers and suppliers in Indonesia. This role involves proactive identification and resolution of quality issues, development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), training of inspection teams and suppliers, and coordination with various stakeholders to uphold product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Leadership:

• Serve as the primary expert for quality assurance compliance for key customers in Indonesia.

• Proactively identify quality issues and implement root cause solutions

Customer Specifications and Compliance:

• Maintain a thorough understanding of key customer specifications, testing protocols, and approved suppliers.

• Develop and update SOPs to ensure adherence to customer requirements.

• Stay current with all key customer product specification requirements.

• Conduct Finished product inspections of Shrimp, Pasteurised crabmeat, and Tuna.

Training and Development:

• Train and develop the Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF) inspection team and suppliers to ensure compliance during finished product inspections.

• Prepare suppliers for key customer visits and lead these visits as assigned.

Audit and Inspection:

• Develop and maintain an audit program for each key customer.

• Conduct Finished product inspections of Shrimp, Pasteurized Crabmeat, and Tuna.

• Conduct quarterly audits of key customer suppliers using established audit templates.

• Regularly review agents' finished product inspections to ensure compliance and uniformity.

Communication and Coordination:

• Participate in weekly team calls with management from the U.S. and Asia.

• Participate in monthly team meetings with the U.S. QA team.

• Coordinate with local plant managers and the COSFF Quality Assurance department.

• Generate, maintain, and provide prerequisite QA documentation, CCP evaluations, SSOP, and GMP procedures in the plants, as requested.

• Act as an effective interface between COSFF and packers, bringing swift resolution to issues and improving production performance. Escalate areas of concern to upper management.

Qualifications

Experience:

3-5 years of inspection and supplier audit experience in the seafood industry.

Skills:

• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of seafood products.

• Ability to develop and train staff as needed.

• Proactive approach to quality assurance issues.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel frequently to different plants and stay for extended periods away from home base.

Remuneration: As per country industry standard.
