Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.

The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Business Experimentation consultants advise executives on business decisions using Mastercard’s industry-leading predictive analytics SaaS platform, Test & Learn. They work with customers to identify key priorities, then design and run business experiments to establish which ideas work and how to deploy them.

Manager, Account Management

Overview Of Role:

  • This is a high-impact Accounts Management position which offers the opportunity to manage all aspects of Mastercard business relationship with assigned customers.
  • The position requires a self-motivated, commercially pragmatic, business developer with stakeholder relationship management and influencing skills to partner with customer & Mastercard cross functional teams to create and implement impactful payments programs that maximize segment penetration & drive revenue targets.
  • The ideal candidate will be one with an excellent execution focus, while possessing payments industry experience, preferably gained in Business Development /Product management on the Issuer side with the ability to work across multiple disciplines and functions and passion for payment technology.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain primary responsibility for managing the relationship and profitability of target customers.
  • Responsible for all account management/business development activities for customer set.
  • Design and execute strategic/tactical plans to enhance customer and MasterCard profitability.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key influencers at customer banks and with MasterCard support teams.
  • Work with MasterCard cross functional teams to identify new segment and product opportunities and develop bespoke propositions to maximize segment penetration.
  • Leverage all MasterCard brand sponsorship properties, product/services to deliver exceptional customer value.
  • Responsible for all administrative and operational issues for the target customer set.
  • Manage & develop new and existing products; programs and services, as required.
  • Perform market research and opportunity assessments on new concepts and ideas. Assess the viability of new products in support of market strategy.
  • Recommends market strategy including pricing; introduction to market; profit planning; expense budgets; etc.


All About You:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Business Development/ Account/product management.
  • Sound knowledge of retail electronic Payments/ Cards from an Issuing / Acquiring/ Network perspective required.
  • Candidates with work experience in the payments/banking domain preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to integrate knowledge across disciplines (Sales, Product, Marketing, operations, and risk.

  • Excellent influencing, negotiation skills
