For the area of Global Legal, IP & Compliance, located in Purwakarta, Indonesia, we invite Compliance experts with a passion for manufacturing to submit applications for the role of Compliance Officer, fluent in Bahasa and English. This position reports directly into the Global Head of Compliance.
Main tasks & key accountabilities
The Compliance Manager will establish or upgrade internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of laws, rules and regulations, in line with the Global Policies of Lenzing Group; and lead, conduct, supervise and support internal and external compliance investigations in the South Asia Region.
- You will conduct risk assessments for business decisions; drive compliance with applicable laws, rules & regulations; apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct & business practices; and escalate, manage & report issues with transparency and integrity with an eye on the company's reputation. Additionally, you will supervise the activity of others, recommending disciplinary measures for those who fail to maintain these standards, aligned with Local and Global HR rules
- You will investigate compliance cases, prepare the required documentation, present the results to local management and the Global Compliance Team, make recommendations to senior management on how to mitigate risks and improve internal company controls, and prepare responses to internal stakeholders
- You will present local compliance program data to the local management team, and prepare reports for the Global Compliance Team related to local compliance risks, monitoring of compliance related issues, any mitigating actions, and on the local compliance program development
- You will keep abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes, in order to further identify new key risk areas and to report and inform about the risks to local management and local areas responsible (risk owners)
- You will review materials to ensure compliance with various regulatory and legal requirements and to ensure compliance risks are appropriately identified and addressed, according to local law and culture
- You will conduct face-to-face compliance training for local employees, management, and external parties as required
Your ideal profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Business Law, Audit or Finance, and you are proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- You have legal, internal audit or financial experience relating to compliance, legal or other control-related functions, ideally in a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm
- You have excellent knowledge of compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies (especially in the Asia region, ideally Indonesia and Thailand); and of compliance investigation process & procedures
- You are fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (both written and spoken); and you have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as to collaborate with people at all levels of a complex organization
- You have advanced analytical skills, excellent project management and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects at one time
- You are a flexible, innovative and adaptive self-starter, with a transformational mindset and great change management skills
