THE COMPANY

Our client is a European listed MNC in the Chemicals industry, headquarted in Netherlands. They are a leading global distribution partner and formulator of speciality chemicals and ingredients. They are looking for a Finance Director to join their team in Indonesia, reporting directly to Country Managing Director and dotted line reporting to the Finance Director, APAC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

2. Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with Indonesian GAAP (PSAK) and IFRS.
  • Oversee tax compliance (corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax) and liaise with tax authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with OJK (if in a regulated industry), BI, and other financial regulatory bodies.

3. Business Partnering & Commercial Finance

  • Support business units with financial analysis to drive decision-making.
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and supply chain to optimize profitability.
  • Conduct cost control and efficiency improvement initiatives.

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor the finance & accounting team.
  • Develop financial talent and succession planning.
  • Ensure a high-performance finance function.

5. Mergers, Acquisitions & Investment Decisions

  • Assess financial viability of new investments, M&A, and expansion plans.
  • Conduct due diligence and post-merger integration.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy preferably with professional qualification.
  • 10+ years of finance & accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian financial regulations, including PSAK (Indonesian GAAP), IFRS, and local tax laws
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align financial strategies with business goals.
  • Strong team leadership and people management skills to guide finance teams.
